This course is recommended for health care professionals, especially psychologists, counselors, social workers, and nurses who seek knowledge about the understanding of PTSD assessment, treatment issues and controversies. Whether unfamiliar or familiar with some of the concepts involved in this material, you can benefit from information in this course.
This article focuses on four issues: PTSD assessment, treatment approaches, therapist issues, and current controversies. Important assessment issues include the trauma history, comorbid disorders, and chronicity of PTSD.
