Thomas Dowd is Professor of Psychology at Kent State University. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association in two divisions and holds Diplomates from the American Board of Professional Psychology in Behavioral Psychology and Counseling Psychology. He has been president of several boards and Associations in psychology and has served on numerous other professional boards and committees.

Loreen Rugle received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University. She was Deputy Director of the Veterans Addiction Recovery Center for several years at the Brecksville Unit of the Cleveland Department of Veterans Administration Medical Center.

  2. to be able to appreciate how different treatment models influenced each other

  3. to be able to explain major differences between various substance abuse treatment models
