In this book Dr. Olesnavage provides an operational definition of boundary, its essential characteristics, and specific boundary problems that lead to failed or unsatisfying relationships.
Dr. Olesnavage’s therapeutic approach, Boundarytime, enables clients to move beyond coping mechanisms and access their own truth in the container of a co-created healing relationship. He presents his approach with case samples to illustrate specific applications. One entire chapter highlights the effectiveness of boundary work with teenagers.
The ideas offered in this book will benefit therapists who recognize the power of healing relationship. It will also speak to those courageous individuals who are drawn to boundary because they want more out of life and relationships.
Note: since the date that this course was written, Dr. Olesnavage’s book Our Boundary has been republished. While the material is largely the same, the course exam questions may not match up perfectly. The course exam will be updated as soon as possible. Until then, you are welcome to to take the course anyway if you like. This material is worth the effort.
This course is based on the book, Boundarytime created by John Olesnavage, Ph.D.
