This course examines the public health concerns and policy solutions for the rise of semi-synthetic products It includes; the six “majors” analogs to Delta-9, eight other analogs, binding affinity of cannabinoids, analogs as vapes and edibles, Delta-8, Delta 10 and 11, HHC, THC-A THC-P, Cannabis potency, 2018 Farm Bill, retail and legal dispensaries, cape shops, retail availability of intoxicating cannabis, marketing, where kids can buy THC, online retail assessment, effective regulation, 2024 Farm Bill reauthorization, consequences of hemp legalization, issues with .03% THC in hemp, continuous re-engineering of DPCP’s, and implications and solutions for semi-synthetic cannabinoids.
