About the Course

This course examines the major pathways of opioid initiation and use among adolescents and young adults based on those in recovery. It includes: Prevention through a risk and protective factor framework, Pathways to opioid use, risk factors, protective factors, challenges experiences, assets, simultaneous challenges/assets, and Difficulty coping with negative emotions-a signal of distress and need for support.

She also has 11 years of experience as a child protective social worker, where she earned certificates in domestic abuse/family violence and substance abuse.
