About the Course

Parental mental well-being impacts children but may not receive sufficient attention. This study summarized the literature exploring the effectiveness of eHealth interventions as a means to increase parental access to treatment.

Anna L. MacKinnon, PhD

Dr. MacKinnon is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Addictology at the Université de Montréal and the CHU Sainte Justine Research Centre. Her research focuses on social determinants of child health and development, risk and resilience for perinatal mental health, as well as interventions for psychological distress and parenting. She has had multiple works published in peer reviewed journals.

Katherine Silang, M.Sci.

Katherine is a doctoral student in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. Katherine’s research interests focus on maternal mental health, mental health stigma, and health inequities/access. Specifically she is interested in learning more about the associated risk and resiliency factors within these domains, as well as how maternal mental health can impact infant health and development. She has had multiple works published in peer reviewed journals.

Barbara F. McMillan, LPC

Barbara McMillan, BA, MS, EdD, LPC has 35 years of experience as a therapist, clinical director, and administrator in mental health and substance abuse programs. She holds degrees in psychology and education, and has been a licensed professional counselor and supervising counselor for many years. After 18 years in various roles in private and public mental health settings, she became a full-time college psychology and sociology instructor.
