This course focuses on supporting individuals with mental health conditions and/or substance use disorders as they reenter the community from jail or prison. It examines the effectiveness of reentry programs and identifies evidence-based practices that promote successful reintegration, reduce recidivism, and improve overall well-being. Participants will learn about necessary resources such as treatment, recovery services, health insurance, housing, employment, and transportation to aid in the reentry process.
