Black women are at heightened risk for trauma exposure, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders (SUDs), compared to White women and the general population. The current study examines treatment engagement and retention predictors of alliance and the mediating role of alliance for PTSD+SUD outcomes among Black women.
This course is based on the reading-based online article, Predictors of Therapeutic Alliance, Treatment Feedback, and Clinical Outcomes Among African American Women in Treatment for Co-Occurring PTSD and SUD created by Alexandria G. Bauer, PhD et al. in 2022.
