About the Course

This course focuses on Art Therapy (AT) for psychosocial problems in children and adolescents. The researchers conduct a systematic narrative review to explore therapeutic components and mechanisms of change of such experiential interventions. Course participants will learn how AT responds to client need and circumstances which leads to significant clinical results. Liesbeth Bosgraaf, MATh

Liesbeth Bosgraaf, MATh, is a researcher at NHL University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. She is also a member of the national networking group for affect-regulating professional therapy and serves as a thesis coordinator at Stenden University of Applied Sciences. She has had her work published in multiple peer reviewed journals.

Marinus Spreen, PhD

Marinus Spreen, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Social Work at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Neeuwarden, Netherlands. His main areas of research are the role and impact of the system on patient behaviour and treatment evaluation at the individual level and he has had multiple works published in peer reviewed journals.

Casadi Marino

Casadi "Khaki" Marino, PhD, LCSW, is a social worker with experience in many different treatment settings and with a wide range of client populations. She has worked in residential care, secure and forensic settings, and in emergency rooms. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and holds certificates in EMDR, Trauma Informed Services, and Domestic Violence. She is currently working as a therapist in an outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry clinic.
