Dr. Jenna van Draanen is a dedicated advocate for upstream interventions and addressing social determinants of health. She is an assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing and School of Public Health. Van Draanen worked as a research assistant and research coordinator after earning her M.P.H. from the University of Toronto, giving her the opportunity to gain knowledge of the public health field and investigate numerous research fields. At the University of California, Los Angeles, Van Draanen later obtained a Ph.D. where she focused on community health sciences and techniques for theory-informed data analysis. Her work has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Mohammad Karamouzian, DVM, MSc, PhD

Dr. Mohammad Karamouzian is an infectious disease epidemiologist and public health scientist who is passionate about addressing global health disparities. His main areas of study are harm reduction, substance use disorders, and HIV epidemiology. He has published more than 100 articles in peer reviewed journals.

Danny Wamsley is a licensed addiction specialist with a clinical certification with the National Association of Dual Diagnosis (NADD). Danny currently works in manage care as a DSS liaison. His primary goal is to provide consultation to social workers who are involved with child-protective services and In-Home Services. Danny also has 10+ years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual disability and substance use. Danny’s professional interests include addictions/recovery, intellectual disability, foster care, military, trauma, and domestic violence.
