Art Therapy in the Digital World

An Integrative Review of Current Practices and Future Directions

About the Course

Digital technology is increasingly present in psychotherapy practice and the provision of telehealth is expanding. However, relatively little is known about the use of digital technology within art therapy. This study investigates how art therapists engage with digital technology and how practice may be safely adapted to include new modes of delivery and developing digital art making media.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Art Therapy in the Digital World: An Integrative Review of Current Practices and Future Directions created by Ania Zubala, PhD, Nicola Kenell, and Simon Hackett, PhD in 2021.
