Examining Military Population and Trauma Type As Moderators of Treatment Outcome for First-Line Psychotherapies for PTSD: A Meta-Analysis

About the Course

Past research has shown some evidence that active military clinical populations have poorer treatment outcomes for PTSD than civilian populations. This is a meta-analytic study aimed at studying differences in treatment outcomes for different types of military service (active combat, sexual assault in the military, and a combination of both) as well as differences between military and civilian populations. Researchers of this study offer recommendations for improving treatment of PTSD for military populations.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Examining Military Population and Trauma Type As Moderators of Treatment Outcome for First-Line Psychotherapies for PTDS: A Meta-Analysis created by Casey L. Straud, PsyD., et al. in 2022.
