Addiction and the Brain-Development Not Disease

About the Course

This course discusses whether addiction is a disease. The author proposes the disease model of addiction is flawed. Instead he proposes a brain development model shaped through learning, neuroplasticity, self-organization of the brain, and lack of delay discounting.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Addiction and the Brain-Development Not Disease created by Marc Lewis in 2017.
