About the Course

In this presentation, which is a follow-up to the presentation Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs), Patricia Siebert and Marie Verna continue to explore best practices for developing psychiatric advance directives (PADs). They discuss provider responsibilities for responding to PADs, and limitations of PADs. Recovery to Practice (RTP) training helps behavioral health and general healthcare practitioners improve delivery of recovery-oriented services, supports, and treatment.

This course is based on the recorded webinar, A Second Look At Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs) created by Patricia Siebert et al in 2016.

  2. Identify the best practices for disseminating PADs and ensuring that PADs are accessible/informed care decisions.
  3. Discuss the limitations of PADs, including the legal implications and clinical implications.
