Course Objectives:

  1. Describe the threat, statistics, and implications of domestic violence and the role of the civil protection order.

  2. Identify the eight essential values that underpin an effective protection order system.

  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the values, strategies, and practices necessary for a more effective civil protection order system.

  4. Identify the roles and recommended strategies of the various professionals involved in the response to domestic violence.
