Group Leadership, Concepts, and Techniques (TIP 41, Chapter 6): Substance Abuse Treatment: Group Therapy (TIP 41) describes the desirable leader traits and behaviors, along with the concepts and techniques vital to process groups. This chapter will show how to convert conflict and resistance into positive energy that empowers the group. One will learn how to deal with disruptive group members, such as clients who talk incessantly or bolt from a session as well as providing information on how to turn a crisis into an opportunity.
