Clinical Issues With Youth (Chapter 11): From A Provider’s Introduction to Substance Abuse Treatment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Individuals provides information on the stresses and challenges experienced by LGBT youth that increase their risk for substance abuse and related health and mental health concerns. The role of stigmatization in increasing vulnerability to and risk for substance abuse will be addressed as well as how to approach assessment and treatment with LGBT youth.
