Code of Ethics for Alcohol and Drug Counselors was published for drug and alcohol counselors in the state of Iowa. This Code of Ethics was adopted to aid in the delivery of the highest quality of professional care to persons seeking chemical dependency services. It covers the nine specific principles which are inclusive of: Responsibility to clients, dual relationships, confidentiality, professional competence and integrity, responsibility to students, employees and supervisees, responsibility to the profession, finacial arrangements, advertising, and legal and moral standards.
This course is based on the reading-based online article, Code of Ethics for Alcohol and Drug Counselors (Iowa) created by Iowa Board of Certification in 2016.
