About the Course:
Research on the components of substance abuse treatment programs for addicts and/or offenders that reduce substance abuse and/or recidivism has grown tremendously over the last two decades. Systematic and expert reviews of the correctional literature have identified the components of programs that are likely to reduce recidivism. This article estimates the extent and organizational correlates of evidence-based practices (EPBs) in correctional facilities and community-based substance abuse treatment programs that manage drug-involved adult offenders.
