Renewal
LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor)
30 hours of continuing education with with 3 hours of ethics.
Continuing education hours must be earned in the 2 years preceding renewal expiration date.
LCAC ( Licensed Addiction Counselor)
30 hours of continuing education with 3 hours of ethics and 6 hours of diagnosis and treatment.
Continuing education hours must be earned in the 2 years preceding renewal expiration date.
Licenses are issued for a 2-year period, and expire on the last day of the month. Renewal notice postcards are sent to the last address on file with the Board, and are sent approximately 90 days prior to expiration of the license. Renewals will not be processed prior to 90 days of the license expiration date. The notices are a courtesy to licensees, but the responsibility to renew on time remains with the licensee.
Addiction Counselor CE is a service of CE Learning Systems LLC. CE Learning Systems is approved to offer continuing educations courses by NAADAC, and many ICRC certification boards. CE Learning Systems LLC maintains responsibility for the courses.
