About the Author:

Dr. Neziroglu is a behavior and cognitive therapist who has been involved in the research and treatment of anxiety disorders and depression for over twenty years. She is a scientist and practitioner who has presented and published over 100 papers in scientific journals and books. She is co-author of six books with Dr. Yaryura-

Tobias. Dr. Neziroglu received her Ph.D. in clinical, school-community psychology from Hofstra University. She is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation. Dr. Yaryura-Tobias is a biological psychiatrist. He has pioneered research in the dopamine theory of schizophrenia and the biological theory of obsessive compulsive disorder. He is co-author of six books and has presented and-or published over 270 scientific papers and book chapters. He received his medical degree at the National University of Buenos Aires. He completed internships in Argentina, Canada and the U.S., originally specializing in internal medicine and later in biological psychiatry. He is a professor of psychiatry at New York University.

  3. To be able to understand more about brain functioning and role of pharmacological agents in treatment
